The first team travelled to D.D.O. to face an old rival, the Montreal Barbarians. This was probably the most important game for the Saracens in the last 3 years and at times it showed as the team made more handling errors than normal.
The first half saw the Saracens trailing by 2 points but we were gaining the momentum and not long into the second half we had a 13 to 5 lead thanks to good kicking by Stephane Ouellette and a try from rookie winger Josh Blair.
Unfortunately a sin bin late in the game gave the Barbs a second wind and they came back to tie the game 13-13 and that's the way it ended.
The boys fought hard and never gave up even when their captain went down to injury in the first half as did their starting prop and fly-half. Great effort boys.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Royal, L. (played 70min of rugby with a wrist injury)
Result: Saracens I (13) Barbarians I (13)
