SARACENS II vs RCM III

The young Saracens II (only 1 player over 30) played their final game of the regular season against a much older side in RCM III (probably no player under 35?),.

The first half was a competitive one with a lot of emotions on both sides and as tempers flared both sides had their encounters with the sin bin. It seemed as though it would be a very long game full of penalties but the Saracens soon gained their composure and focused on playing rugby. By the end of the first half the young guns had a 5-3 lead which was a concern as the heat was a major factor and we only had 3 spares.

The 2nd half commenced with the Saracens playing hard and taking it to their counterparts who seemed more preoccupied at yelling at one another. As our fitness kicked in and our pace increased we were able to find holes in their defense and our support play was excellent scoring 40 points in the 2nd half.

A few thing to retain from this game, fitness was great, the defensive line was effective as was support play, even the set pieces were solid. At no point did the more experience RCM III side have an answer for what we were throwing at them. It should also be mentioned that they had 11 subs (allowed in div 3) to our 3 subs, great effort boys!!!
MAN OF THE MATCH: The entire 18 man squad!
