The men's 1st team travelled to Laval, where the Nomads managed to upset the Saracens in 2008. With that bitter defeat still in mind the Saracens were NOT going to let it happen again!
In the opening minutes of the game you could see some of our players were tense as uncharacteristic handling errors were prominent. It took about 15min for the men to settle down and score the first try which seemed to put the team into high gear. Dominating in almost all phases of play (except line-outs) the Saracens I ended the first half with a 32-o lead.
The 2nd half did not start the way the team wanted as the Nomads got feisty and the men started to play down to their level. With a succession of penalties the Nomads were able to set up on the 5 meter line and punch the ball in. After a talking too, the team settled down once again and started to play their style of rugby taking the game 51-5.
